On the Snapchat mobile app, open the public story, Spotlight clip, or profile. Tap the Share icon and choose Copy link. On the web at snapchat.com, copy the full URL from your browser address bar. The link should be a complete https:// URL from snapchat.com, story.snapchat.com, web.snapchat.com, or snap.chat. Short links like snap.chat links are automatically resolved.
The downloader accepts links from snapchat.com, www.snapchat.com, story.snapchat.com, web.snapchat.com, and snap.chat. Snap.chat short links and URLs containing /t/ are automatically followed to their destination. Spotlight links typically look like snapchat.com/spotlight/abc123. Profile links use story.snapchat.com/u/username or snapchat.com/add/username. Private messages, login pages, and account settings URLs are not supported.
When you paste a public profile link, the downloader extracts up to 30 publicly available media items from the page. The result shows a gallery view with image and video counts. Each item has its own type label — image or video — and a source label such as story, spotlight, or highlight. You can download each media item individually. The gallery shows only the items the service can extract from the public page at that time.
When you paste a link to a specific Spotlight clip, story, or Highlight, the downloader returns a single result with the available media item. You see a preview with the media type, quality label, and file information. Video items include a playable preview. The download is for the individual item found at the link.
Videos from public Snapchat links are available as MP4 files. Images are available in their supported formats — typically WebP, PNG, or JPG. Each media item shows its type and file information. Videos can be previewed before downloading. You download each item individually — there is no bulk or ZIP download. An HD label reflects the best available extracted option; it does not guarantee that Snapchat supplied a particular source resolution. Memories content is not supported.

The link may be incomplete or may not point to a supported content type. Snapchat may require verification or login to access the content. If the page returns a not-found or unavailable message, the downloader cannot extract media from it.
Media may be processed and stored temporarily to prepare the download. Direct Snapchat CDN links are temporary and may expire. When an HLS fallback must be processed, the resulting file may be rehosted temporarily. Temporary files and links are removed according to the service's retention rules. Save downloaded files to your device once the download is ready.
