Does this tool permanently remove redacted data from the PDF?

Yes. Our redaction tool permanently deletes the underlying text and vector paths rather than just covering them with a visual black box. Once saved, redacted content cannot be highlighted, searched, or extracted by any PDF reader.

Are my sensitive documents uploaded to an external server?

No. Redaction is processed directly inside your web browser or via secure, encrypted on-the-fly streaming that never retains your documents. Your sensitive data remains completely private and is never stored on any server.

Which devices and operating systems can I use to redact PDFs?

Our PDF redaction tool works seamlessly on all modern devices and operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS (iPhone/iPad), and Android, without installing any software or extensions.

Is this PDF redaction tool completely free to use?

Yes. The tool is 100% free with unlimited document processing, no hidden subscription fees, no account registration required, and no watermarks added to your documents.
